MY SCOUTING EXPERIENCES : )
MY SCOUTING LIFE💓
Since joining the senior scout at 16 years
old, I can easily see how much of a significant impact these years in scouting
have had on every aspect of my life.
When I was
in Grade seven to eight, I joined the organization of Girls Scout then I’ve
heard from my classmates when we were in Grade nine that the Organization of
Boys Scout will accept a female Scout when I’ve heard about that news I thought
it is only for boys because the name of the organization is Boys Scout Of the
Philippines and the name of the organization is different from the Girls Scout
, but one of my classmate told me to join in the Senior Scout first I doubt to
join in the senior scout because my heart is in the girls scout and I’ll
cherish all the experiences together with my fellow girls scout at first it’s
hard for me to quit in Girls Scout, At the time, girls in scouting were not
common and most of the students in our school did not understand why I wanted
to be in Scouting. One of the most common things people would say to me was,
without a doubt,” Scouts? Isn’t that for boys?” To this day, I still find I am
having to explain myself.
But I wanted to challenge myself to become a
responsible daughter and to make a change in myself by Obeying the Scout Oath
and Law and disciplining myself to become a better person.
Scouting is something that helped shape my
character as a youth, and is something that I love and believe in as a student.
The relationships, experiences, and memories I’ve gotten from scouting are
priceless, and I feel blessed to have spent the last decade surrounded by the
wonderful family in scouting. And I also learned how to be an Independent
person without the help of my mother in doing household chores and to live on
my own, like joining in survival trainings in the outdoors starts with knowing
what to be prepared for. In three days camped I need to be able to start a
fire. And perhaps most importantly, I need to be able to build a shelter with
the used of environment to stave off rain and I learned how to cooked rice in a
bamboo and to make this things impossible I have to work hard and listen to my
crew mates opinion. I’m interested in scouting because It taught me how to
become responsible citizen in our community like helping other people in times
of need and to apply first aid to a patient that was ill and using my scarf I
can prolong the life of a person. I’ve learned from Scouting that character
counts, always, everywhere. Character must be modelled for others and it must
be taught. Also that a well-articulated code like the Oath and Law makes it
easier to live a virtuous life.

2017 ILOILO (CONFESOR) SCOUT JAMBOREE
This was my first camping in scouting, every pictures shows how much I enjoyed the activity. The first picture was taken during the Pioneering Activity and we won the 3rd place during that event. The second picture shows the first ever group photo of our outfit, after the parade our adviser decided to take a group photo. And the last photo is the my favorite because after the presentation of every municipality we are the Champion in the whole Region 6.

It is the only award for young people provided by World Scouting. Scouts must complete a SWA discovery, and then a community service project of at least 80 hours. To obtain the badge, they must share their project on scout.org, and contact their national SWA coordinator in order to be officially recognized. Scouts accomplishing the SWA badge jointly with the Patrimonito badge will also have to pass through their national coordinators to receive both badges.

2019 ILOILO (CONFESOR) COUNCIL
This photo was my last Jamboree because of pandemic all of the scouting activities was force to stop for the purpose of the safety of everyone, but I know that this is a challenge to me and to my fellow scout to move forward and to live in the scout oath and law to never surrender amidst the pandemic. I believe that after this pandemic we will be able to meet again.
